Program Features

The Advancing Leader Program features expert speakers, Issue processing, peer feedback, applied learning, and customized evaluations. Vistage designed the program specifically "to raise participants’ level of strategic thinking, communication, and collaboration to help them deliver on your [firm’s] goals."

In this supportive environment, participants have the tools to achieve the following:

  • Improving communication and coaching skills
  • Cultivating problem-solving skills through collaboration
  • Fostering the ability to lead through empowering others
  • Applying insights and skills to relevant business issues and projects
  • Building self-confidence

In short, this program accelerates leadership growth for experienced managers, challenging them to be more effective problem solvers and collaborators with better execution results for the entire firm.

Current Membership

Several talented executives and managers have already joined the Advancing Leader Program in Redding. Having transferred from the former Emerging Leader Program that Vistage offered until 2021, these rising stars are enthusiastic and motivated, sharing a high-level of trust and commitment to this group. "My take-aways from the Vistage Executive Training:
I am much more confident in managing, giving feedback and communicating more clearly my expectations. Looking back to when we hired my first direct-report I had no idea what I was doing. Learning how to manage should be required for all managers! The last two speakers were amazing and most applicable to my personal and business life.

Currently we are updating our Google Drive, which I am spearheading. This will be a major change for our company. It has been so helpful for me to apply all the lessons learned from the talk on “How to Generate Support for Significant Change."

Schedule and Format

Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST. (Except July) The format will be a hybrid between live and online, allowing both in-person attendance and virtual participation as well. We have members from the Bay area, Chico, and Southern California in addition to the Redding area members.
